The publication of Indexes online marks a new era of genealogy publishing for the State Library of Victoria.
Making indexes available in two formats, online as well as on microfiche ensures wider and improved public access to valuable Library resources.

Tetlow Index to the Robert K. Cole collection of hotel records: city and suburban hotels was compiled by the State Library of Victoria's Genealogy Team volunteer, Eric Tetlow. The Index contains over 21,000 entries for hotel licencees and others take from the orginal Melbourne city and suburban volumes of the Rober K. Cole collection of hotel records.

Darragh Index to the Melbourne German Sick and Relief Society membership 1861-1924 : Melbourner Deutscher Krankenverein was translated from gothic script and indexed by Dr Tom Darragh, author of a number of books about the history of Germans in Victoria using the Society's archival collection of minute books, membership records, financial records, published histories of the Society and various documents concerning friendly societies held by the State Library of Victoria.
